Michael was raised in Corsicana, Texas and was fortunate to stay in Austin after receiving both his undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Texas. He began his mortgage banking career in 1986 with Lumbermen’s Investment Corporation (LIC). His corporate management path includes heading the Secondary Marketing group for LIC as well as creating and leading the Consumer Direct Division for Guaranty Residential Lending (the successor company to LIC). He has found that his broad industry background and knowledge enables him to better communicate with Clients thereby demystifying the process and leading to a better informed and therefore; more satisfied borrower.

The love of his life is his wife Carroll and his young sons Preston, Jonathan and the twins – Davis and Andrew. While he stays active with his family he still manages to sneak in a round of golf from time to time. He loves to golf, hunt, follow UT sports, and just watch the excitement unfold around his home.

Michael's business approach is to build lasting relationships with his clients by exceeding their expectations. He takes great pride in his industry knowledge and strives to serve all of his stakeholders (Borrowers, Realtors, and Builders) with the goal of achieving win-win solutions.
